Ooo La La - Shabby Chic Butterfly Frame

Ok - so I'm addicted to making these frames!! I keep finding so many papers and goodies to use I simply can't stop myself - lol!

I bought this Mariposa paper stack from DCWV so long ago and am just now using it. I couldn't decide what paper to use - there are so many beautiful ones! I think I will have to make a few cards just to play! This time I decided not to limit the photo(s) to a specific photo mat. This way you can just add your pictures where you like and have whatever part of the butterfly paper showing that your cute lil' heart desires! Ingenious- no? ;-) Many vintage yummies on this one - buttons (single and on original backing), dress patterns, and images from Leisure Arts. I just love these cute little pads - just tear off what you want! For more pics you can view it on Ebay HERE (or if you just gotta have it for yourself!)

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!
Hugs!

Our Lil' Squirt - TPE Theme Challenge #9

Howdy everyone!

So today begins the first day of my summer vacation! Yay! No more teachers, no more books - plus sleeping in and more time for scrapping - YIPEE!!
So I got up this morning with a plan. I was going to work on a few custom orders and get a head start on next week's design challenge for The Pink Elephant. Welp - two cups of coffee and an hour of pointless internet surfing later, I found myself feeling guilty in neglecting some household chores. So I tightened my apron strings and set to work. With that behind me I now have a clear mind to create!
This adorable little creation (again inspired by Mo) is my design for this week's SUMMER challenge over at TPE. I just love being part of this design team. Every time I think of summer, I think of green grass, vegetable gardens, and water! So this cutie (and his little dog from Treasure Box Designs) are ready to help water your garden! There are many pieces involved in this one. Each shingle on the shed was cut and shaded and the door was made out of that new paper made from actual wood! It even smells like wood! Very cool! So here is the link for the listing on Ebay. As always, many more pictures over there!

Thanks for looking!

Little Boy Blue

So apparently I'm on a scrappy frame kick! I just love how they are coming together! It's like I'm addicted! As in the other layout, I used muted paper from Melissa Frances, glitter, vintage goodies (lace, buttons, pins, ribbon). The bingo card was made with a stamp from Unity Stamp Co. I got it at the St. Louis Creative Keepsakes Convention and just tried it out! It was a great investment! It's just the perfect size for medium sized projects!

I added a picture to the frame to give you an idea of what your own cute pictures would look like. This picture was also taken by our friends from m&d photography ltd. They do such amazing work - be sure to check out their website to book a sitting or just to be inspired!

Here is my Ebay listing for this frame. Check it out for more detailed pictures!

A Little Dirt...TPE Scrapbook Challenge #8

Howdy everyone!

Here is my interpretation of this week's design challenge at The Pink Elephant. This week the lovely Lori Boyd designed a sketch that we had to follow. With so many people requesting more "boy" themed layouts - I decided to kill two birds with one stone! Click on the sketch to see more of our Design Team's layouts!
Isn't this little guy just the cutest?! (Inspired by Mo Manning again - I know I'm obsessed!!) I used my husband's old jeans for his overalls. Wouldn't this be the perfect page for your own little garden helper?! Well you are in luck! This listing is on Ebay - lol! You can check it out and more pictures here.

Shabby Chic Frame

Here is a sneak peek to my Monday night Ebay auction. I thought I would try something different - for all of those folks who may benefit more from a premade frame than a premade layout. I have a lot of these really cool square wooden frames that I got from an auction a few years ago. I painted and distressed it to give it that vintage look. Drilled and attached a twill ribbon that I sprayed with different colors of glimmer mist.

This adorable frame measures approximately 9 inches by 9 inches and is loaded with shabby, vintage goodies. Glitter, mica flakes, and pearls give a warm shimmery glow. I just loved creating it and can't wait to make more. Hopefully, it will be a hit so I can!

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite style. I just love muted colors and vintage ephemera. Crackled paint, wooden baubles, pearls, vintage papers - make my heart skip a beat!

TuTu Cute :o)

Here is my latest layout! Ok I know I am biased....but aren't they C-U-T-E?! I had so much fun with creating them! (Inspired by Mo again of course!) Just look at that curly hair! There are quite a few layers and details in this piece (many fabrics and embellishments). I have been on such a girlie kick lately that I think I need to explore the world of boys just a skosh. But I don't know where to start....maybe the great outdoors or something for Father's Day. I will have to put my thinking cap on!

You can see many more pics of this little gals on Ebay. I can't wait to see who gets to take these beauties home!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Wednesday!

A Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Well with my new clean space waiting for me - I finally got a chance to put together the Alice in Wonderland layout I've been planning in my head for weeks now. For some reason, this one took me forever to decide a color palette for - I must have pulled out dozens of different papers and decided on a softer look for this design. I will probably list it on Ebay tomorrow night or Tuesday - so be on the look out! I'll post a link after I do! I have tons of pictures so be sure to check them out!

The Alice paper piecing was inspired by Mo Manning. After contacting her, she gave me permission to piece her work - I was so excited! I just love her images! She is a super nice gal and hopefully she won't be disappointed! Click on Mo's link on the right hand side of my blog to see more of her designs and blog. Here is a direct link to the digital image. I can't wait to start my next one inspired by her creativity!

Right now I am watching "Hoarders" - holey moley! We did a little spring cleaning done today and got rid of 8 garbage bags of clothes - such a great feeling! Although....I don't think I could do that with my paper and ribbons (obviously if you've seen the pictures below - lol!)
